No, while non-profit status is preferred  it is not a strict requirement.  Institutions must demonstrate proper governance financial accountability, and a commitment to Christin education. Accreditation is based on integrity, mission fulfillment, and adherence to biblical and   academic standards—not solely on tax-exempt status.

On average, the accreditation process   takes up to 60 days, depending on the institution’s level of preparedness and responsiveness in submitting the required documentation and completing each phase of the review.  In cases where extenuating circumstances arise, an institution may request an Expedited Review. If approved, the expedited process shortens the review timeline to 30 days. Expedited reviews are granted at the discretion of the Accreditation Commission.

Yes. There is a one-time application and evaluation fee, and an annual membership fee.  A detailed Fee Schedule—including amounts, payment instructions, and due dates—is included in the official Accreditation Application Packet. All fees are final and non-refundable and must be submitted by the deadlines specified in the official schedule.
